The tour guide and skipper of the boat told many stories of the early days of Melbourne, and was extremely entertaining. Loved hearing the history, and the quirky stories. It's also a very beautiful trip along the river.

Pleasant if unspectacular trip along the Yarra, in two parts, consisting of an hour in each direction from the starting point. The best vantage point on a sunny day was in the open area at the stern.

Disappointing trip of 2 halves

Booked the 2 hour trip with very elderly father- staff helpful with boarding. Didn’t realise we had to use 2 boats- involving waiting between trips. Upstream was a much better experience with a much improved commentary. Downstream was awful commentary- minimal and disinterested.Shame you can’t choose your captain. Downstream also dad really unpleasant music playing throughout.
The seats were really quite squashed together- not ideal on a hot day.
Maybe 2 stars.
