Top recommended tour for wine and food

Glad I researched and selected this tour. Paul's personality made the day and helped join everyone together. Loved the variance of the different wineries. Jenna at payten & Jones a highlight for me, really down to earth. Some others a bit more stuffy I guess. Lunch was excellent and loved seeing the greenery when driving round.

Surprising Standout

As part of the first wine tour of three I had booked (one in Melbourne and two in South Australia), I wasn’t too sure what to expect as I had never done a wine tour before. As it turns out, it was awesome! Paul was incredible, handled everything from start to finish with prompt communication about pickup times and he was a great addition at each of the five wineries we visited, giving some additional pieces of info and useful tips. I also didn’t realise there would be some commentary about Melbourne on the roughly hour long trip to the first winery which was pretty interesting to hear (and he used a microphone so everyone could hear, but it was never too loud which was great). All five wineries hit the mark although five is quite a bit so be prepared to use the spittoon! The people you go along with to can always make or break these kinds of tours too but the gang was awesome and really varied geographically which was cool to see. Paul also made purchasing wine seamless to handle as you would purchase wine and he would transport it back to the bus and add your name to it; a small detail but extremely helpful at the end of the day. My only real advice for travellers is if you pick a hotel for your pickup location, later change the hotel and update the pickup point, they may not receive the updated information so it’s best to just confirm that the update has been received so you don’t end up walking 2km to your pickup point like I did

Fun day out

Our host Rob was so interesting to talk to and has a lot of knowledge of the environment and area. The tour covered a nice range of wineries and all of them beautiful. The lunch was very nice too. Overall a well curated and organized trip

Superb tour

Fantastic wine tour with Paul around Yarra Valley. I was back and forth whether it was too pricey before I went but definitely worth the money. You visit 5 vineyards, 6 wine tastings per place, which also includes some expensive reserves. Furthermore there’s a high quality lunch with a glass of wine at one of the vineyards. Paul is very knowledgable about Melbourne and its wines. The bus is also very comfortable.

Superb day tour of Yarra Valley Vineyards

Super tour with Paul to the Yarra Valley. Visited 5 Vineyards trying 6 wines per place. We also had a high quality lunch that included a glass of wine of your choice. The tour never felt rushed or as if we were on a conveyor belt. Paul is knowledgable about the wine industry, the history of Melbourne and its surrounding areas. Thoroughly worth the money paid.

Highly recommended this marvelous experience!

The lunch at Yering Station is superb! We had an overall wonderful, enjoyable and educational experience with Paul - our guide and driver. He’s definitely very passionate and knowledgeable in all the wines and food pairing. He’s also attentive and ensure that all of us including my teenager is comfortable throughout the trip.
