Explore the 12 Apostles and Great Ocean Road without the crowds on our Reverse Great Ocean Road Day Tour! This day trip includes all the highlights of the standard tour but visits the 12 Apostles and the Shipwreck Coast in the morning instead of the afternoon. By going against the flow of the traffic we avoid the busy tourist crowds allowing us to make the most of all this stunning region has to offer.
15 min - We stop to stretch our legs and enjoy morning tea
45 min - We take time to admire the amazing Limestone stack formations with minimal other tourists around, also if you are keen to take to the skies and add a helicopter ride over the Apostles on to your experience then this is the tour for you! Taking your time to walk along the boardwalks and capture perfect photos of the Twelve Apostles in the morning sun is just breathtaking.
45 min - Also in the National Park we head down to Loch Ard Gorge, site of one of Australia’s most well know shipwrecks, hear the dramatic tale of Tom and Eva. Take time to walk down on to the beach and get the sand in-between your toes, or walk out over the top of the Gorge and find the Island Archway and Razorback rock formations.
20 min - Along the journey we will be making stops to look for Koalas hanging out in the wild, as they are exactly that, wild, we cannot guarantee where they will show up, but our knowledgeable guides know all the best spots to search for them.
30 min - A monument to mark the original starting point of the Great Ocean Road. After some photos at the iconic Memorial Arch and a lesson on the history of the soldiers who built this road and dedicated it to their fallen comrades, we will wind through more stunning views (of course stopping for pictures!)

12 Apostles were stunning even in the wind and rain. magnificent and primordial rain forest. Beautiful cove. making new friends. Our guide and driver, Doug, was superb! He was knowledgeable, humorous, and a superb driver in the strong winds and rain.
Did the reverse tour with guide Daniel. He was excellent! Had a nice time. Try and sit on the right side of the bus as that is the side that will face the water on the reverse itinerary. Highly recommend.
We went on the usual route as the reverse one was cancelled. We really enjoyed the road trip and all the stops including the Chocolaterie (yum!). The tour director Wes was very clear with his instructions and gave us an interesting commentary along the way. We loved the music on the bus- made the long day go by more easily. Our tour group was also very punctual!
Daniel was a wonderful guide. The Great Ocean Rd. was a picturesque drive. Enjoyed the Loch Ard Gorge , The Twelve Apostles, Maits Rest forest walk, and Apollo Bay. Highly Recommended
Our tour guide, Craig, was very knowledgeable and friendly. He made the day memorable, especially with the rain we had most of the day. The only issue I had was the pickup. I even had Viator, who I booked from, try and contact the tour company for alternative pick up points which I never received communication from. After paying for a taxi to get to Immigration Museum for pick up (too far for me to walk), I received a phone call from tour company saying they were waiting for me at Windsor Hotel, an alternative pick up point. NAfter about 4 other vans for similar pickups arrived, the correct van arrived with Craig, who had been contacted by company we were at Museum. We were told this was a pickup point for several vans and tours. A very confusing, poorly communicated, and a negative start to the day. Craig made the day, and we would recommend him. Looking back, I should have contacted the tour company, not Viator, who I booked from.
I traveled with my family including an 8yo son. It was a long journey but we enjoyed so much thanks to the tour guide Dandy who was not only patient and friendly but also very knowledgeable. Got to see a koala and a mob of kangaroos too. Highly recommended
